SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals (Hauppauge, NY), the nation’s leading provider of computer rental services has completed its 15th acquisition. The Company acquired ACE Rentals & Staging, a comprehensive audio-visual solutions provider. With it, SmartSource gains an expanded product line within the A/V and staging category, to satisfy a broader customer base with multimedia solutions for rentals and staging equipment, including: concert-level, live sound, lighting and staging systems; video solutions; and court technology. With ACE’s Sunnyside, NY facility, SmartSource now has 20 sites nationwide.

ACE Rentals & Staging, now a SmartSource company, delivers seamless, high performance, multimedia solutions which address a wide range of A/V requirements for schools, corporate training and sales programs, annual meetings, industry conferences, music and entertainment venues, sports events and courtroom/legal proceedings. ACE has a proven track record providing its high-functioning A/V and staging solutions for such well-known venues as the Tony Awards and New York City Marathon, not to mention countless schools, businesses, law firms and municipalities.
As a result of the acquisition, SmartSource is retaining all of the former ACE Rentals & Staging employees, including Mil Samardzija, who will continue as Director of Rentals & Staging. The additional 22 new staff members bring SmartSource’s employee base to approximately 200.
Just this summer, SmartSource was awarded the Miami Beach Convention Center contract as the “Preferred In-house Supplier” for audiovisual, computer, copier and related peripheral products, together with an exclusive contract to manage the Convention Center’s in-house Business Center. The company also continues to garner top industry honors for its high service quality. At its 2005 conference, the International Technology Rental Association awarded SmartSource its prestigious “Platinum Award,” which recognizes companies that have gone beyond normal expectations to provide the best service, equipment and follow-up.” SmartSource also took home the “Award for Innovative Excellence” and two “Personal Excellence Awards for Outstanding Staff Members.”
